attention for starting a fashion trend amongst students, which the media dubbed
the "Shinee Trend". In August 2008, the group released their first
Korean studio album, The Shinee World, which won the
Newcomer Album of the Year at the 23rd Golden Disc Awards. Shinee further consolidated their popularity on the South
Korean music scene with follow-up singles "Ring Ding Dong" and "Lucifer". "Ring Ding Dong" charted on top of several
Korean music charts and gained popularity all over Asia. "Lucifer"
was nominated for the Best Dance Performance Award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2010 for its outstanding choreography. In 2012 the

Shinee is known for their fashion style, initially created by designer
Ha Sang-beg (하상백), which features high-top sneakers, skinny jeans, and
colorful sweaters. Their style has created a fashion trend amongst
students which the media dubbed the "Shinee Trend".The group's
"boyish charm" was an important factor in Shinee gaining fans. With
the release of 2009, Year of Us, Shinee's style
became more mature, though still maintaining Shinee's unique image.
Furthermore, instead of working with famous artists and photographers, SM
Entertainment's Visual and Art Directing department usually works with up-and-coming
talents with new ideas for Shinee's concepts When Shinee debuted in 2008
with "Replay", it was not only their music which gained attention but
also their colorful style—but even four years later, in 2012, Shinee maintained
their colorful concept for Sherlock. Their designer, Ha Sang-beg, stated in an
interview with the Korean Times: "Much has evolved over the years, since I
change their styles to reflect their music. The feel from their debut single
still exists, mixing the overground with the underground, haute couture with street fashion ...
but it is very modern, like Shinee.

SHINee World is SHINee's official
fanclub. More specifically, the fans are called "Shawols,"
which is a combination of "SHINee" and
"World."
After three years of training at the talent
agency, he debuted in 2008 as a member of the five-piece boy band SHINee with
the EP “Replay.” Jonghyun stood out as
the main vocalist of the group, captivating fans with his powerful voice and
dancing ability.

SHINee are very
talented and well-known as a group. Back in their heyday (it's still their
heyday but I mean, in 2008–2011, when EXO wasn't out yet), SHINee was all
anybody could talk about. ... Songs released by SM always get popular, but SHINee's crisp dance
and awesome vocals really deserve the popularity they get.
idols enlisting in 2020 and 2021
enlisting last year. Their 92-line consisting of Suho, Baekhyun,
Chanyeol and Chen, may enlist this year,
with Suho being first. The youngest member of rock band F.T. Island Choi
Min-hwan also enlisted this February
So in Korea and asian countries Minho is most
popular among Shinee. Taemin — SuperM has
really helped him to gain popularity in western countries. Taemin has most
popularity in western countries than anyone else from Shinee. His solos like
move are greatly appreciated.
They're popular, probably more
than the average kpop group, but compared to their labelmates, they are somehow
the “underdogs” in SM. SHINee has been one
of the top groups in South Korea for a long time now, but they've never gained
the massive popularity that Hallyu
stars Girls' Generation and Super Junior have.
Some got attracted because of his different
style from SHINee as a soloist, and lots of comments as usual expressed their
excitement for his dancing skills. Basically he's seen as a really great
performer. Different type of idols/artists have expressed their admiration for Taemin, from rookies to
sunbaenims.
Although time is lacking, the group already counts the days to
return to its fans.
The military service in South
Korea is one of the most difficult times for idols and fans, they will have to
say goodbye for almost 2 years.
SHINee is no exception, the
SM agency group started their military service last year, 3 of them had to say
goodbye, Taemin continues his solo career, but 2020 will be the year the boys
meet Shawol again.
